ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT

The Youth Department currently consists of six ministries: summer camp, adventurers, pathfinders, high school, collegiate, and young adults. In order to effectively mentor our youth, we will continue to build on the foundation laid in the past quinquennium. The Youth Department also works closely with the Education Department.

Our goal can be understood in this well penned directive: “Let the youth remember that here they are to build characters for eternity, and that God requires them to do their best. Let those older in experience watch over the younger ones; and when they see them tempted, take them aside, and pray with them and for them. The Lord would have us recognize the great sacrifice of Christ for us by showing an interest in the salvation of those he came to save. If the youth will seek Christ, he will make their efforts effectual.” (The Youth’s Instructor, 21nov1911). Partnering with the Holy Spirit, we reach, train, and direct our young people, helping them discover their identity, unique calling, and tremendous value as a member of God’s family.
